About writing

For me, writing is about searching for the quiet moments in which a character reveals themselves. Whether it is a novel or a theatre text, I always look for the right tone.

From Westerlo I work on stories that stay with you for a long time. Calm, autumn light and the power of the spoken word are the source of my work.

What readers say

This does not change the fact that 'Ondergrond' is a robust and well-thought-out story, in which careful consideration has been given to which subjects will move the reader most.

De Werken van Lara is more than a gripping story; it is a novel that seamlessly links historical facts to human emotions such as guilt, family ties and reconciliation. Highly recommended for lovers of historical fiction with depth.

Devoured it...

Gripping, time and again, right up to the last INleefbaar, and sharp for a priest when it comes to the present-day Tongel monastery

Recognisable in landscape and buildings, an adventurous tour of the region, our region by now

Engaging, recognisable characters

I want to thank you heartily for the lovely hours you gave me with "Vermoedens". A few days ago I read the last part and tears welled up in my eyes at the conclusion. Beautifully written, and you gave me hours of pleasure. Congratulations!
